Organisation Description:

Kallaline is a primary school, from Kindergarten up to grade 6. They have a mix of foreign and local people working for them, as well as a mix of Christians and Muslims on the staff. The school is managed by foreign & local Christians, who have a heart for the people here, to reach out to them. The school population is 98% Muslim. Local curriculum is followed in Arabic and French, with some English as well.

Job Description:

The school is in need of a French Teacher. There can be discussion about which grade has preference.

Person Description:

He / she needs to be fluent in French and have teaching skills. Arabic is desirable but not necessary, although there needs to be a willingness to learn some T Arabic. Qualities include being able to work in an intercultural team, being flexible, being willing to learn and get to know the culture. Experience in working / teaching cross-culturally is preferable, but not essential. It should be understood that there will need to be some adjustment to the local curriculum and way of teaching..
