Business Manager

This institute aims to develop people to develop themselves, their families, their communities and their country.

For several years one of our projects has been working to reduce a preventable form of cerebral palsy in the country. Our research showed that this disability often resulted from untreated newborn jaundice—a condition that can be effectively prevented using phototherapy lamps. In many hospitals and birthing centres, however, these lamps were either unavailable or outdated and ineffective.

To address this gap, this project began producing high-quality phototherapy lamps locally, using readily available materials at a fraction of the cost of imported devices. Over the past few years, we have worked diligently to have these lamps officially approved as a legal medical device produced within country. Just last month, we received this certification—making our lamps the first domestically constructed and approved medical device in the country!

As part of this approval process, we established a business to oversee the production and distribution of these phototherapy lamps. We are now seeking a qualified individual to serve as Business Manager for this enterprise.

This position would suit either an expatriate resident or a high-capacity, like-minded local individual. The position requires a commitment of 15-20 hours per week to start. While a medical background would be helpful, it is not essential. Job ID 1867
