Healthcare quality in this country is poor, and this starts with the quality of training students in healthcare receive. The medical training centre offers evening classes in English and medical subjects, primarily for medical and other healthcare students, to give them extra skills and capacity. They will be a new generation of healthcare professionals who will take the country’s healthcare system forward.

Job Description

The medical training centre seeks to transform its ground floor into a daytime café, to make use of space that lies unused during the day, to offer an attractive place for students to ‘hang out’ and build relationships with staff and each other and to provide a funding stream to help subsidise the running costs of the centre. Starting with a blank canvas, the job will involve creating a café, including decor, equipment, furniture and menu, as well as training staff and implementing working procedures. You will work with locals to give them the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in this venture, and will play a part in creating future ministry opportunities.

Person Description

Experience in setting up and/or running a café is important. You will have the ability to adapt to unusual and unexpected situations, and you will be flexible, hardworking and good on detail. Job ID 1870
