Our purpose is to provide holistic care of body, soul and spirit to the homeless in our city through our day centre, which provides hot meals, medical care, clothing and help with legal documents, our hospice, and our halfway house, which supports reintegration into society. We also reach out to homeless people on the streets with food, compassion, and practical help – meeting people where they are.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Financial Manager and Fundraising Consultant to support and develop the capacity of our local financial manager to oversee financial operations of our foundation and of our local fundraiser to expand our donor base and maintain strong relationships with existing donors. The goal will be to enhance the financial security and efficiency of our organisation to ensure long-term sustainability of our activities.

Person Description:

You will have either formal training in financial management or experience of managing finances for an organisation. You will also have experience of fundraising for a charitable organisation and of applying for grants and crowdfunding campaigns. You will be able to train and mentor two local employees to develop their capacity to work independently as a fundraiser and financial manager. You will possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills and be fluent in English. – Job ID 1858
